Student & Family Handbook

Dear Meadowview Families,

I am very pleased that you will be part of Meadowview during the 2023-24 school year. I am confident that your child will find this welcoming environment a place to grow academically, socially and emotionally.  A significant portion of Meadowview’s success is the sense of community, pride and commitment to student progress.  Meadowview is proud of its dedicated teachers, caring support staff, active parent participation and passionate belief about high standards in student achievement.

This year the Meadowview school team will continue to implement a character education program entitled Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS).  This program directly teaches students that “Meadowview Matters” through instruction in behavioral expectations for different areas of the building.  Your child will learn the importance of self-respect, caring for others and caring for their community.

The student handbook provides parents and students with the information they need to be connected and be a successful part of our school.  The handbook highlights board policy and school practices that help students achieve and ensure our school year will run smoothly.  The handbook and our PBIS program encourage all students to take responsibility for their actions and to respect the values and rights of others.  I ask you to be a part of the educational experience by talking to your child(ren) about the importance of this information.

The Meadowview website provides a collection of information including the newsletter, calendar, and lunch menu that you will find very helpful.  This resource provides additional contact and procedural information that you may need.  Please feel free to contact me in person, via phone at 768-6240 or email at: l.rezner@ocfsd.org.  We will work hard to educate your children and help them reach their full potential.  I am looking forward to a great year of learning and growing.

Mrs. Lisa Rezner, Principal
