About Me

My name is Angie Arata and I have worked in the Oak Creek- Franklin Joint School District for 11 years as a special education teacher. Last year I made the switch and taught first grade for the first time. I loved it. The first grade age is such a special age, the students make so much growth throughout the year both emotionally and academically.

My husband and I just celebrated our daughter's one year birthday this summer. So it has been a fun year watching her grow. We also added a puppy to our family this summer. So needless to say our lives at home are busy!

I believe one of the most important aspects of a child's education is the teamwork between school and home. I hope that we can work together to help your child live up to his or her full potential this school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime. I am at school from 7:00 am- 4:00 pm. The best time to reach me by phone would be either before the students arrive or after they leave for the day. You can also feel free to e-mail me at anytime as I will check that throughout the school day. I know that we will have a great school year!
