School Mission Statement

Through the combined efforts of students, staff, families, and community, students will learn concepts, processes, and skills which promote responsible decision-making and life-long learning.

School Improvement Goals 2013-2016

Reading: Increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or advanced in reading on the WSAS 10% by the end of the 2015-16 school year.   

Math:  Increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or advanced in math on the WSAS 15% by the end of the 2015-16 school year.    

Writing: Increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or advanced on the District Writing Assessment 15% by the end of the 2015-16 school year.

  7. Recognizing that small gains today can lead to large gains in the future, we commit to the idea that data informs our instructional decisions, but does not define who a student is.

  8. We commit to sharing our passions with our students and leading by example through modeling responsible decision making and lifelong learning.

Procedural--

  1. We will always have a purposeful agenda prior to meetings so that time is respected.

  2. We will come prepared with a solution-based mindset to use time effectively and efficiently

  3. We will collaborate with all stakeholders to focus on student and staff growth

  4. We will ensure information is communicated efficiently and effectively with all staff members to enhance student success

  5. We will communicate and support the final decision of the group and will ensure follow through with clearly defined roles and action steps

Interpersonal--

  1. We will be open to and respectful of other’s opinions, grade level/content responsibilities, and suggestions

  2. We will respect the dignity of individuals and interact in a trustworthy and professionally courteous manner

  3. We will presume positive intentions, suspend judgement of others, and be open to constructive feedback

  4. We will ensure everyone is included and their voice is valued through meaningful, honest, and direct conversation
