Recent Updates

When helping your child learn to write his/her name, here are some tips:

  • Little hands = little tools, so a crayon is the best tool for a four or five-year old to write with
  • Our handwriting program encourages children to learn how to write capital letters first, as they are easier for children to write. If your child is still learning how to write his/her name, please help him/her write it in all capital letters.
  • Our handwriting curriculum teaches children that all letters are formed with big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves

Letter Formation

My name is Amber Di Vilio, and I teach 4K at Deerfield Elementary. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning. This is my tenth year teaching 4K for the Oak Creek Franklin Joint School District. I love teaching four and five-year olds and having the unique opportunity of giving children their first school experiences.
