Quick Tips
Here are a few quick tips for your child to help himself/herself be successful in fifth grade:
- Ask questions when necessary in order to clarify newly introduced concepts
- Memorize the single-digit multiplication facts and be able to recall them quickly for timed tests (This will help significantly with homework throughout the year as well!)
- Read daily and discuss what you have read with a parent or older sibling on a regular basis
- Complete and submit homework on time
- Have fun!

- Review your child’s homework and help him/her if necessary (daily assignments are listed in your child’s assignment notebook each day)
- Read with your child or ask him/her questions about what he/she is reading
