Planks-Giving

Our 3rd through 5th grade students worked on their core muscle group prior to Thanksgiving. The students performed three exercises; scissor kicks, clean the floor, and planks. At the beginning of each gym class to help increase their core strength. They did this for three weeks prior to Thanksgiving break. The last class before Thanksgiving break the students had a plank holding contest. The students were able to see their efforts of the three exercises pay off by being able to hold the plank longer than they thought.
