School Counseling

Deerfield Counseling Program Mission & Vision

Our school counseling program operates under the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model, focusing on mindsets and behaviors for student success. ASCA Mindset and Behavior Standards (found here) are the foundation for all classroom lessons, small groups, and individual counseling sessions. Our program strives to help each student succeed every day

Aligning with our district mission, the counseling program at Deerfield strives to empower each student to find self-motivation to strive for academic, personal/social, and career success on a daily basis.

Students leave Deerfield prepared to continue to optimize their academic, career, and personal/social successes in life through the process of valuing lifelong learning, collaboration, critical thinking, and self-care.
