What is Open Enrollment?
The inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside.

The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District serves all of the City of Oak Creek and a 7-square mile portion of the City of Franklin. If you are an Oak Creek-Franklin resident, please visit the enrollment page of our website. To check and see if you reside in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District, please visit the Attendance Boundaries page of our website.
2020 - 2021 School Year
The 2020-2021 open enrollment application period ended on May 29, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit the DPI Open Enrollment website (http://dpi.wi.gov/oe).
If you are currently attending school in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District through Open Enrollment, you do not need to reapply. If you are currently attending school in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District through Tuition Waiver, you must apply for Open Enrollment.
On January 13, 2020, the Board of Education adopted the following regular education Open Enrollment space limitations for the 2020-2021 school year:
4K: 67 seats
5K: 24 seats
1st grade: 12 seats
2nd grade: 30 seats
3rd grade: 8 seats
4th grade: 13 seats
5th grade: 2 seats
8th grade: 8 seats
10th grade: 21 seats
Grades 6, 7, 9, 11, or 12: 0 (zero) seats
On January 13, 2020, the Board of Education adopted the following special education Open Enrollment space limitations for the 2020-2021 school year: 0 (zero) seats
