Open Enrollment for Non-residents
What is Open Enrollment?
The inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside.
An open enrollment application must be submitted for each child that you wish to enroll, even if you have other children already enrolled in this district.

The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District serves all of the City of Oak Creek and a 7-square mile portion of the City of Franklin. If you are an Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District resident, please visit the enrollment page of our website.

2024 - 2025 School Year
The 2024-2025 open enrollment application period begins on February 5, 2024 and ends on April 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit the DPI Open Enrollment website (http://dpi.wi.gov/oe).
If you are currently attending school in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District through Open Enrollment, you do not need to reapply. If you are currently attending school in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District through Tuition Waiver, you must apply for Open Enrollment.
On January 8, 2024, the Board of Education adopted the following regular education Open Enrollment space limitations for the 2024-2025 school year:
4K: 16 seats
5K: 42 seats
1st grade: 33 seats
2nd grade: 42 seats
3rd grade: 10 seats
4th grade: 47 seats
6th grade: 64 seats
7th grade: 41 seats
8th grade: 32 seats
Grades 5, 9, 10, 11, or 12: 0 (zero) seats
On January 8, 2024, the Board of Education adopted the following special education Open Enrollment space limitations for the 2024-2025 school year: 0 (zero) seats
