Student & Family Handbook

Dear Forest Ridge Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year at Forest Ridge Elementary School. We look forward to an exciting and fulfilling year of teaching and learning. At Forest Ridge, we believe that a high-quality educational program starts with a team effort. It takes all of us working together (parents, community, and staff) to provide the best education for all our students. I’m pleased to have you as a key member of our team and I encourage you to be an active member of the Forest Ridge PTO. Your contributions are invaluable to the school through volunteering, supporting our school activities, and providing feedback on the work in which we engage. Family involvement is always welcome and strongly encouraged.

The policies and procedures in this handbook have been prepared to help you understand how Forest Ridge Elementary School operates so that you can become an integral part of our learning community. I  encourage you to review the entire handbook with your children and keep it as a reference during this school year. If you or your child have questions about any of the material in this handbook, please contact a teacher, the school counselor, or myself.

I’m looking forward to working closely with you and your children during the upcoming school year. Thank you for taking the time to review the handbook. My best wishes for a rewarding 2023-24 school year filled with great achievements. Join us in working together to engage, challenge, and inspire every student every day. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Geoff Pontus
