Dear Oak Creek High School 2020 Graduates:
Seniors, July 18, 2020 is your special day. We are extremely disappointed that we are not able to gather as an entire group, but our graduation will be fun, memorable, and unique. Despite the challenges, graduation is very important to everyone, so that we can recognize and celebrate all of your hard work. In a format similar to our cap and gown distribution, we would like each senior to walk across the stage and receive their diploma. The principal, superintendent, school board president, and members of the school board will await your arrival in your cap and gown in the student parking lot of Oak Creek High School, which is the same place you began your high school journey as freshman students. Hand sanitizing materials will be ready and waiting prior to walking across the stage. A face mask may be worn, if so desired.
Empire Photography is scheduled to take your formal graduation picture. Family and guests who arrive in the same car will be able to watch you crossing the stage (honk/clap, yell, “Congratulations!”). We ask that you utilize only one vehicle and that your family/guests remain in the car while Empire Photography takes your formal portrait. You will then walk down the sidewalk that connects OCHS to the Ninth Grade Center to receive your diploma and graduation program. Feel free to decorate your car with Knight Pride.
The “We Love Our Seniors” banner that is posted in front of the Ninth Grade Center on the corner of Howell and Puetz will be positioned by Miller Pond, should you wish to take photos following diploma pick-up.
If your last name begins with the letter A-L, please arrive between 9 a.m. -11 a.m. If your last name begins with the letter M-Z, please plan to arrive anytime between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. A specific line-up or order is not required. Please access the drive-through ceremony from Puetz Road.
In addition, a very special graduation virtual ceremony will premier at 3:00 p.m. on July 18. Many teachers and your peers have spent numerous hours preparing this memorable event that will be accessible for years to come. The link will be shared with you and your family through Infinite Campus email accounts on Wednesday, July 15 so that you can sit and enjoy the one hour and fifteen minute ceremony. The link will also be available on the district website www.ocfsd.org.
Though we were unable to provide a traditional ceremony, it does not take away the pride we feel or the accomplishments you have earned. We are proud of you. Congratulations, Oak Creek High School 2020 Graduates!
If you are unable to attend or wish to not partake, please pick-up your diploma in the Ninth Grade Center office anytime between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. July 20-23. Please call (414) 570-3843 if you have any questions. Refunds for graduation tickets, letters A-L, will be mailed the week of July 13 and letters M-Z the week of July 20.
