Greetings Oak Creek Families!
As we move past all the social program closures it’s refreshing to open our doors and bring back programs to our community. Even more changes are in store as we enter a new school year and bring together the City of Oak Creek Recreation Department and Youth Programs Department of the Oak Creek-Franklin School District creating the new Oak Creek Community Education & Recreation (OCR) Department.
By merging the best of the City of Oak Creek and School District programs our community benefits. Growing up in a 4-H family, the motto “To Make The Best Better” rumbles through my mind thinking of opportunities to strengthen our community education and recreational activities. Yes, there will be a few changes and adjustments along the way but the core mission of providing high quality programs for the Oak Creek community remains the same.
Look for this guide arriving three times each year sharing recreational, educational, and social programming for your family. Forever Young Club continues with social activities at City Hall including card club Mondays. More active adults will find fitness, wellness, and enrichment activities including the ever popular walking club and cooking classes. Students have a variety of wellness, social and enrichment offerings. Parents may appreciate parenting classes or childcare programs. Open gym will keep everyone active with a variety of options including pickleball, basketball, and volleyball. Birthday parties will resume at the Forest Ridge gym and Oak Creek High School pool. Returning to “normal” has never felt better. We welcome you to join us as part of this exciting adventure as we learn how best to serve your needs and grow together.
We hope you find something that meets your needs, and in offering these programs we plan to exceed your expectations.

New for Fall 2021 - Little Tykes, Adult and Active Adult programming.
Aquatics - The pool has been under repair that has taken longer than expected to complete. Currently, the pool is empty and crews are working to fix some issues. At this time, it is uncertain when the pool will be up and running. We will communicate via email, this website, and social media when swimming lessons, swimming club, and open swim will return.
