Communication Overview
The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District uses various methods of communication to keep families, staff, and the community informed. We are always looking for ways to improve our communication efforts and welcome your questions, comments, and concerns. For feedback regarding communications, please email communications@ocfsd.org.
The following tools are used by the school district for mass communication purposes:
District Website
The website is used to communicate district and school news, announcements, calendar events, and general school information for parents, staff, students, and the community. The district site also includes information about the Board of Education, policies, and department information.
Infinite Campus
Parents can view their student’s grades, assignments, schedules, and attendance by using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Parents can also update their contact information (email and phone numbers) and emergency contacts for their children via Infinite Campus. Address changes must be made at the district office and require proof of residency. Infinite Campus is also used to register students for summer school.
The Infinite Campus messaging system is used to voice call, text, and email parents and students about timely and important information. Messages can also be published to the Parent Portal. Be sure to check the “general notifications” box to receive updates from the district.
Once an Infinite Campus Parent Portal has been established, parents may also download the Infinite Campus App to their mobile phone. Our district ID for the mobile app is CKYKNV.
For parent login or account questions, please email helpdesk@ocfsd.org. Please include your student’s name, grade and school when inquiring about your account. Log into your Infinite Campus account.
School-Based Digital Communication
Schools may use the following communication tools in addition to Infinite Campus.
- Elementary Schools: Elementary Schools and the 4K program may use ClassDojo to communicate with parents and guardians.
- Middle Schools: Middle Schools may use Talking Points to communicate with parents and guardians.
- High School: The High School may use Google Classroom to communicate with parents and guardians. High School athletic teams and clubs may use schoolYou or Google Classroom for communication.
Friday Folders
Friday folders are sent home with our elementary students at the end of each week. Friday Folders contain school sponsored information including notes about upcoming events, PTO events, permission slips, completed work, etc. Your child’s principal and/or teachers may also use Infinite Campus in conjunction with the Friday Folder to share updates and reminders.
Community Flyers
Community Flyers (not containing school-sponsored information) can be found on the Community Events & Postings page of the district website. If you have an event you would like to be posted to the page, please review the posting requirements and Submit Your Event.
Social Media
The district has chosen to leverage social media as another channel to communicate with the community. The district's Facebook and Instagram accounts are used to celebrate success and provide timely information or reminders. Please review our social media terms of use before posting to our district social media accounts.
Approved Social Media Platforms: Facebook, Instagram, tiktok, X, Youtube
