Oak Creek High School junior Elizabeth Havas has been named the Distinguished Young Woman of Franklin-West for 2023.
Founded in 1958, Distinguished Young Woman is a national honorary scholastic program whose mission is to positively impact the lives of young women by promoting scholarship, leadership and talent. It is a free program that encourages participants to reach their full individual potential while providing over $1 billion in scholarship opportunities. Not only does it connect participants with a nationwide network of women, but it also develops their self-confidence through participation in Life Skills Workshops that prepare them for success after high school.
Elizabeth will join other local representatives throughout the state to participate in the 2023 Distinguished Young Women State Program on Saturday, July 30 at the Franklin Saber Center. Elizabeth has received a $500 scholarship from the Franklin Lions Club as the Distinguished Young Woman of Franklin-West, 2023.
Congratulations, Elizabeth!
