K-8 Summer School Update
District News

Dear K-8 Families,

We had been holding out hope that conditions would improve and we would be able to offer our traditional K-8 summer school program. However, the District has made the tough decision to cancel all onsite summer school classes for our students entering grades K-8. Camp OC wrap around care for summer school is also canceled. If you have already paid for Camp OC wrap around care for summer school, you will receive a refund check in the mail.

The District is exploring virtual summer school options that would take place July 6-24. More information will be shared with K-8 families the week of May 18.

Families who are registered for full-day summer care packages (Adventurer and Trailblazer) will be contacted by the Youth Programs department to determine your family’s summer care needs.

Youth Programs enrichment programs, sport camps, and clinics scheduled to start in June are also canceled.  Those registered will receive a refund by check. At this time, we plan to offer sport camps and clinics scheduled to begin on or after July 6.  Aquatic programs offered at South Milwaukee are planned to start  July 6. Those registered for Juniors & Fighting swordfish will receive a partial account credit for canceled days.

High school families will receive a message from the high school about OCHS summer school.

Thank you,

K-8 Summer School Team
