The Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District is celebrating six schools that Exceeds Expectations and four that Meets Expectations on the 2020-2021 state report card. The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has released its School and District Report Cards for the 2020-2021 school year. The Report Cards are intended to help districts use performance data to target improvement efforts that ensure students are ready for their next educational step – whether it be the next grade level, graduation, college and/or careers.
At the foundation of the report cards are four priority areas. Schools receive a score for each of 4 priority areas:
Student Achievement: students’ level of knowledge and skills attained compared against state academic standards in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics.
Growth: how rapidly students are gaining knowledge and skills from year to year, focusing on the pace of improvement in students’ performance.
Target Group Outcomes: outcomes for students with the lowest test scores in their school - the Target Group. Outcomes are displayed for achievement, growth, chronic absenteeism, and attendance or graduation rate.
On-Track to Graduation: how successfully students are achieving educational milestones that predict later success.
In 2020-2021, OCFSD met expectations with a score of 67.3 and celebrates achievement scores that are higher than the state average in both ELA and math. In addition, the District score was the same or higher than 71.8% of Districts in the state. Another area to celebrate was our On Track to Graduation data - which is higher than the state in all areas and the same or higher than 63.7% of districts in the state.
